Joel + Sommer | Dallas, TX Photography

Wednesday, March 28, 2012 Posted in Couples

Last week I was in Dallas for Renew Workshop. I can't even describe how amazing it was. Old friends, new friends, countless memories. I can't wait to go back.

At Renew, we were lucky to photograph a beautiful engaged couple. Sommer is finishing up school in Austin, TX and Joel is running his business all the way in Amarillo, TX (opposite ends of TX). It was so much fun watching Joel make Sommer giggle. I could tell that they are not only in love, but also best friends. (That is my favorite kind of love.)

Here are a couple of my favorites from my limited time with Joel and Sommer....

Ghost Town | Thirst Relief Benefit Shoot

Tuesday, March 20, 2012 Posted in Portraits

For two years in a row, I have had the pleasure of attending the Thirst Relief Benefit shoot in Las Vegas. Each year gets better and better. Not only do I get to spend the day reconnecting with amazing photographers like: Mike Colon, Luke Edmonson, Jim Davis-Hicks, but I get to meet new friends from all over the country while photographing incredible models.

At this years benefit, we raised enough money to give 2,000 people fresh water for 25 years. <--- That is why I love Thirst Relief so much. Jim has created an organization that actually saves lives, and has made it easy for the photography community to be a part by creating events like the Thirst Relief Benefit shoot. I'm already looking forward to the next one.

Getting involved with Thirst Relief is easy. Right now Sevenly is selling t-shirts to benefit Thirst Relief. Each shirt you purchase will provide clean drinking water to a child in India.
