Natural, Organic Portraits for Genuine, Unique Couples

There are some moments you can't risk letting go by undocumented. In addition to candid photojournalism, I will capture your wedding day with natural, unforced portraits of you and your husband. Don't think posed, because that makes me think of stiff, frozen smiles and awkward, unnatural positions. This is a time to get away from the sometimes-hectic schedule of a wedding ceremony. Think of it as a time to relax and laugh with each other. I'll encourage a stress-free environment, so you can just be yourselves. My goal with these portraits is to capture who you really are together. Goofy, sentimental, contemplative, silly - I want you to see yourselves on film, every shared look and every uncontainable laugh.

A Different Kind of Portrait

You've seen those forced, cheesy engagement photos done in a studio somewhere. You've seen those cliched bridal portraits with reused, recycled poses, and you've seen the usual pictures of the bridal party, fixed grins and all. And in some portraits of the bride and groom, you'd hardly believe that they weren't just models made to look pretty, but without emotion. But that's not how I take bride and groom portraits.

Sometime amid the bustle of preparing for your I Do's, the ceremony itself, and the reception, we'll take some time to retreat. I do my best to make it easy to relax and be yourselves. Instead of setting you in a strict pose, I try to create portraits that leave you room to really interact with each other. When you look at your wedding photos, you should see yourselves, truly lost in happiness - not stuck in a fake pose.

Destination Wedding Photography

I love to travel, too. Part of what makes great portraits is a great location, and part of what makes being a destination wedding photographer so fun is helping to capture the joy and beauty of a couple in a beautiful place. From Florida beaches to Colorado mountains, I go anywhere and everywhere.

Every moment of your wedding, from your engagement to the last boogie at your reception, is important. With natural portraits combined with photojournalism, you can be sure not to miss out on capturing all the ones you want.

Take a look at my portfolio, and see what other couples are saying, or contact me for a quote or to set up a session.

Your love shines through every photograph.  As I watched you photograph Julie & Beruk’s wedding, I saw your love and passion.  What a wonderful blessing for us all.
