Happy Labor Day!! I hope you are spending your day relaxing, listening to great new music. You've worked hard all year, and today is your day to take it easy. I am currently on my way back from a trip to Asheville, NC. This weekend was Shane's birthday, so we took his parents to western NC to visit the Biltmore for the first time. There's just something about that estate that intriques Shane and I. The endless trails cut into the Blue Ridge Mountains, the gi-normous house planted in the middle of the woods; the history, sacrifice, and story that lays in the middle of Asheville. I couldn't think of a better way to spend labor day weekend.

Last week I shared with you a song that has frequented my Spotify playlist for the past two weeks- Shooting Stars by Bag Raiders. This week, I have another song that may potentially sprain your neck. It's called Fineshrine by Purity Ring. My friend, Sean, sent me this song a month ago, and it has proved to be like a fine wine- it keeps getting better and better with age. I love this song for many reasons- The foundation of the song is built on a killer rap beat, and the angelic synthesizers satisfies the hipster side of me. The vocals are beautiful and not overproduced. Here...see for yourself.

Happy Monday everybody. Last week was pretty grand! I accomplished a lot on my to-do list, I photographed an amazing wedding, and I had several meetings with potential brides for 2013. I have a lot to be thankful for....so today's Music Monday matches my joyful mood. Shooting Stars by Bag Raider is my new go-to driving song. I dare you to try to keep your head still while listening to this upbeat beauty!
